The brazen killing of two sisters in the RK Puram area of the national capital in the wee hours of Sunday set off a full-blown political slugfest, with the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Opposition BJP throwing punches at each other in the wake of the incident.
The statement comes after two women in Delhi's RK Puram were shot dead by unidentified shooters, on Sunday. They were sent to a hospital but they succumbed to the injuries. The police launched an investigation into the matter which is currently underway.
Delhi police arrested three people hours after two sisters were shot dead in Ambedkar Basti under RK Puram police station area during the early morning hours of Sunday, said police.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal questioned Delhi's law and order situation after a double murder incident was reported in Delhi's RK Puram area on Sunday morning.
"The deceased has been identified and the accused is also being identified. It seems to be a case of personal enmity but we are investigating the case from all angles," he said.
According to an administrative worker at the town hall of Plonevez-du-Faou Regine Guillot, the shooting was caused due to a disagreement over gardening noise and cutting down of trees bordering the properties.
