The Madhya Pradesh government has enforced a liquor ban in 19 cities starting April 1. Under this policy, the sale of alcohol will be completely prohibited in 19 religious sites across the state, and no liquor shops will be allowed in these areas.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) criticised Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta over Jhandewalan fire incident in the national capital, saying that did not consider it necessary to comment on the incident.

According to officials, most of the affected people purchased flour from these shops for Navratri and later fell ill after consuming food made from it. They complained of vomiting, dehydration, dizziness, and abdominal pain and had to be taken to the hospital.
