Around 300 shooters representing various universities across India will be seen vying for the top honours across 13 medal events. A total of 22 shooters from Delhi University will be participating in the Khelo India University Games 2022 Uttar Pradesh.
The tournament in Almaty is the penultimate stage of the ISSF World Cup for shotgun shooters. The final stage will take place in Lonato, Italy, before the ISSF World Championships in Doha in November.

ndian shooter Rhythm Sangwan managed to break a 29-year-old world record in the women's 25m pistol event at the ongoing ISSF World Cup 2023 for rifle and pistol shooters in Baku, Azerbaijan on Saturday.
Rhythm Sangwan finished third in the final with a score of 219.1, behind Olympic champion Anna Korakaki of Greece and gold medalist Olena Kostevych of Ukraine from the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. It was Rhythm Sangwan's first individual senior medal at the World Cup of Shooting.

Gangster Atiq Ahmed's shooters will be presented before the CGM court in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj on Wednesday where the Special Investigation Team has filed an application in the court seeking remand for questioning for all three accused.
