According to the viral video, a few women of Sankra village in Morena district met with MLA Sikarwar requesting to shut the liquor shop in their village. Responding to those women, the MLA said, "How can I get the shop closed. We are the contractor of the liquor."
CM Chouhan said, "It was decided in the excise policy to close the Ahatas (a palace attached to liquor shops to facilitate drinking). I am happy to inform you that it has been implemented. A total of 2611 Ahatas across the state have been closed."
"Women should live with self-respect, atrocities will not be allowed on the land of Madhya Pradesh. To make women strong, Ladli Bahna Sena will be formed in every village. Sisters will be involved in this, who will work for the safety of women," Chouhan said.
Chouhan was addressing a programme organised at the CM house complex to enlighten the youth on the state's youth policy and the Mukhya Mantri Kaushal Kamai Yojana.

Union Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday expressed grief over the demise of people in the incident of stepwell collapse at a temple that claimed the lives of 35 people in Indore.
CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his cabinet ministers also inspected the rescue operation at the site of the incident. He said that a magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the incident and action will be taken against those found responsible.
"It is our aim that Ladli Lakshmi Beti should not face any kind of financial problem...,"Chouhan said, adding that a decision would be taken in this regard soon.
"Total of 35 people died, one missing and 14 people have been rescued. Two people returned home safely after getting treatment. The search operation to trace persons reported missing is underway," Indore Collector said.
"The death toll has risen to 18. An army team has arrived from Mhow and is carrying out the search and rescue operation along with NDRF and SDRF," Deoskar told reporters.
A tweet on the official handle of the Prime Minister's Office read; "An ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh (each) from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased in the unfortunate tragedy in Indore today. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000 (each): PM."
The incident occurred at Beleshwar Jhulelal Mahadev Temple located in Patel Nagar locality in the city at around 11 in the morning during a Havan puja going on in view of the Ram Navami festival.
