Speaking to ANI, Bhaskar Jadhav said, "I condemn the Nagpur incident and the incident of misbehaviour with the women police. I also condemn the stone pelting of the police personnel. The government should take strict action against the perpetrators."
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde launched a sharp attack on the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) faction while addressing the Legislative Council on the recent violence in Nagpur.
Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday slammed the BJP's "double-engine" government in Maharashtra over the Nagpur violence. He said that the BJP could remove Aurangzeb's tomb in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar as the party is in power both in the Centre and the State.

Shiv Sena UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray attacked the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis-led BJP government on Tuesday over the Nagpur violence and claimed that the BJP was trying to push Maharashtra into a situation similar to Manipur.
"The Opposition leaders in Maharashtra had been saying for the last 3-4 days that there would be riots. How did they predict the future and know about it? This should also be looked into... This looks like a conspiracy of the Opposition," Mhaske told ANI.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena MLAs held a protest outside the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for the removal of Aurangzeb's grave in Sambhajinagar.
"There is no reason for violence to occur in Nagpur. It is where RSS is headquartered. It is also Devendra ji's constituency. Who can have the courage to spread violence there?" Raut said during a press conference in Mumbai.
As Shiv Sena leaders protested on the assembly premises seeking the removal of Aurangzeb's tomb, the opposition labelled the "riots a success of the government".
"We condemn the Nagpur violence. Those who spread rumours should be put behind bars and punished. Such a thing will not be tolerated in Maharashtra. The way stones were pelted, and violence erupted on a large scale, it could not have happened without pre-planning," Kayande told ANI.
