Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) working president Supriya Sule on Sunday met party workers after NCP's Ajit Pawar, along with 8 MLAs, joined the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra cabinet.
Hours after Ajit Pawar and some other Nationalist Congress Party leaders joined the Maharashtra government, party chief Sharad Pawar said, "this is not 'googly', it is a robbery" and that he was worried about the future of those who left the party.
"There will be many more changes. Sharad Pawar Ji has not opened his cards yet. There are many things in the future. The political turmoil will be seen," Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel said.
Even as the Opposition alliance in Maharashtra reeled under the seismic turn of events triggered by the exit of senior NCP leader Ajit Pawar along with a band of loyalist MLAs, CPI leader D Raja on Sunday said the BJP was doing everything to stay in power.
"We have all the numbers. All MLAs are with me. We are here as a party. We have informed all seniors also. The majority is given importance in a democracy. Our party is 24-year old and young leadership should come forward," Ajit Pawar said after taking oath as Deputy Chief Minister of Mah

Nationalist Congress Party senior leader Ajit Pawar on Sunday joined Eknath Shinde-led government in Maharashtra and took oath as the deputy chief minister of the state.
