US President Joe Biden, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday shared a candid moment as they took a selfie at the venue of the G20 Summit in New Delhi.
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina held a bilateral talk in New Delhi on Friday, the two countries also signed three memorandum of understanding (MoUs), including one on cooperation in Digital Payment mechanisms.
Warm welcome was accorded to leaders who arrived in Delhi for the G20 Summit which begins on Saturday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing confidence that the gathering of world leaders will chart a new path in the human-centric and inclusive development
The PM made the remarks after holding a bilateral meeting with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday ahead of the G20 Summit scheduled to be held in New Delhi on September 9,10.
The summit is being attended by more than 30 heads of state and top officials from the European Union and invited guest countries and 14 heads of international organisations.
Sheikh Mohamed and Mirzoyan reviewed the strong ties that connect the UAE and Armenia, stating their keenness to enhance cooperation in various fields in order to support the sustainable development ambitions of both nations and their people.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday highlighted that the Hindu community in Bangladesh should not consider them as members of the minority community, reported Dhaka Tribune.
The meeting touched upon friendship relations, strategic partnership between the two sides, and means to further develop cooperation in the defense fields.
Bangladesh President said, “Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina sheltered 1.2 million forcibly displaced people from Myanmar on humanitarian grounds. Even in the 7th year of the crisis, there is no solution in sight where Bangladesh is pushed to the limits.”
Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain, affirmed the vital role of the UAE Armed Forces in supporting the nation's security strategy, reinforcing the pillars of the country's stability, and preserving the UAE Union’s resources and achievements.
