The ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) faced an unprecedented backlash in the National Assembly on Friday, with even lawmakers from the treasury benches joining their opposition counterparts in lashing out at the government over the federal budget, Dawn reported.
Amid the row over the federal budget in Pakistan, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari again attacked its coalition partner Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), for "not consulting" his party for budget, Geo News reported.
Bilawal complained despite that being a major ally of the government, the PPP was being "ignored" and not being taken into confidence on matters related to the federal government

Shehbaz Sharif is currently leading a coalition government in Pakistan led by his Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). Pakistan People's Party has given support to Sharif's party from outside but is not part of the government.
The party, making a sharp attack at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led government, termed the Finance Bill 2025 presented by it in the National Assembly as a "poisonous budget" and a "bundle of contradictions", according to Geo News.
According to the news report, Sharif also directed for functioning of an effective and active system in the power distribution companies for the facilitation of consumers, regarding registration of timely complaints in case of no supply of power.
