The Mumbai police have arrested two individuals allegedly involved in the possession of illegal arms and ammunition and seized eight firearms and 15 live bullets, said the police on Wednesday.
The operation took place off the coast of Somalia, and the seized items included propulsion, guidance, and warheads for medium-range ballistic missiles (MRBMs) and anti-ship cruise missiles (ASCMs).
During the search, the main accused Pushpendra Singh, director of Jagdamba AMW Automotives Pvt. Ltd. was arrested at Jabalpur, cash of Rs 16 lakhs and documents of immovable properties was seized from his residential premise.
