Assam police on Tuesday seized 11 soap cases and recovered 538.74 grams of heroin from them during a search and along with the arrest of two persons in Barpeta district, officials said on Wednesday.
In a joint operation conducted on February 24, one Royal Bengal tiger skin, four
pieces of tiger canine, one skull with teeth and 46 pieces of bones were seized, the statement said.
An Indian smuggler was caught red-handed with 14 gold biscuits by BSF troops under South Bengal Frontier from their area of responsibility in the Indo-Bangladesh International Border. The total weight of the seized gold is 1.632 kg worth Rs 93,76,464, said the official statement.
