A mild earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale struck Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara on Sunday night, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
The Director of the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), Dr. OP Mishra, on Monday assured the residents that there is nothing to worry about, as the aftershocks of lesser magnitude are "natural" and will heal the earthquake of magnitude 4.0 that had struck Delhi early Monday.
An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale hit Bihar's Siwan on Monday morning at a depth of 10 km, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal prayed for everyone's safety after a tremor was felt in the Delhi and adjoining areas on Monday morning.
"Tremors were felt in Delhi and nearby areas. Urging everyone to stay calm and follow safety precautions, staying alert for possible aftershocks. Authorities are keeping a close watch on the situation," PM Modi said.
