The killed naxal was involved in the Jhiram Ghati incident earlier, in which top Congress leaders of Chhattisgarh were killed, and the Narayanpur incident, where several security personnel were killed.
"I also demand that the Maharashtra Govt should provide special protection to Kunal Kamra. Kangana Ranaut was also provided special force for her security when she had a rift with us," Raut said during a press conference.
Security forces neutralized 16 Naxalites in an encounter in Sukma, Chhattisgarh. Deputy CM Arun Sao reiterated the government's goal to eliminate armed Naxalism by March 2026, stating that security forces are working bravely under Union Home Minister Amit Shah's directive.

Making a direct appeal to those still involved in armed rebellion, Shah added, "My appeal to those with arms is that weapons and violence cannot bring change; only peace and development can."
A wreath-laying ceremony was held on Saturday for Head Constable Jagbir Singh, who sacrificed his life in the line of duty during the Kathua anti-terrorist operation.
Sukma Superintendent of Police Kiran Chavan confirmed the recovery of 16 Naxal bodies from the site and said, "Two of our jawans sustained injuries during the operation and are being evacuated for medical attention."
