Uttarakhand police on Sunday informed that three people have died and the search operation for the missing persons is still underway after a landslide at Gaurikund.
The search and rescue operation for missing persons after a landslide at Gaurikund in Uttarakhand continued on Sunday, said authorities. Twenty people are still missing and three persons were killed in the landslide that occurred on Friday, according to officials.
"One terrorist confirmed killed. Firefight still on. Rashtriya Rifles troops of the Indian Army and Special Forces have closed on to other terrorists. Search for other terrorists are in progress," an official said.
The Indian Army on Saturday said it had apprehended one armed insurgent and recovered "war-like stores" during a search operation launched hours after three people died in a fresh wave of violence in Manipur's Bishnupur district.
According to the release, ED initiated the investigation on the basis of three FIRs registered by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Chennai, related to the 'Cash for Jobs Scam.
