After a 20-hour long operation, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams successfully rescued a one and a half-year-old child on Thursday who had fallen into an open borewell in Lachyan village in Indi taluk, Vijayapura district.
The five-year-old girl, who fell into a 25-feet deep borewell, was rescued by NDRF and SDRF teams on the intervening night of Wednesday in Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh, officials said.
As per SDRF officials, nine days of constant rain in Uttarakhand's hilly and plain regions caused the rivers' water levels to rise, subsequently, the SDRF personnel have been instructed to maintain a high degree of alertness.
The Tehsildar of the Taluk has requested to deploy National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams for the search operation.
