Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel held a review meeting at the State Emergency Operation Center in Gandhinagar on Thursday morning regarding Cyclone Biparjoy.
Ahead of Cyclone Biparjoy's landfall, India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday said that the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm (VSCS) can cause severe damage to small structures like thatched houses and uproot trees.

In a heart-wrenching incident, a Rapid Action Force (RAF) jawan along with three children drowned in Ganga river UP's Prayagraj on Wednesday morning, while all were taking bath in the river, said police.
A massive fire, which broke out at Satpura Bhawan located in the state capital, has now spread from the third floor to sixth floor of the building, an official said.
