A joint rescue operation involving the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, NDRF, SDRF, and other agencies resumed on January 6 to rescue nine miners trapped in a coal mine in Dima Hasao, Assam.

He said the entire Kumbh area is being monitored through CCTV, and there is no possibility of any lapse in the security arrangements. The DGP said that various mock drills have been conducted by NDRF and SDRF teams to check preparedness to avert any untoward incident.
