The District Deputy Commissioners of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and other districts of Upper Assam have issued instructions to the educational institutions to rechedule the classes at an earlier time.
In the wake of rising temperatures, the Nagaon district administration of Assam has issued an order and rescheduled the timing of classes of all educational institutions (government and private) from 7-30 am with immediate effect.
With the administration in Jammu and Kashmir revising the school timings recently, students attended classes with joy and in a secure atmosphere this year after decades in Kashmir, officials said.
Amid the cold wave, the school timings of children from class 1 to class 8 in the capital have been changed from 10 am onwards to 3 pm, till December 31.
