Earlier, the Governor had dismissed Balaji from the Council of Ministers, days after his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in an alleged cash-for-jobs scam.
"Before 2014, India was known as a corrupt nation as many scams were done including 2G and 3G scams. India's prestige in the world increased after Prime Minister Modi came to power," Nadda said while addressing a public meeting in Rajasthan's Bharatpur.
His stinging remarks came days after an opposition party meeting held in Patna earlier in the month pledged to take on BJP in the next years assembly elections.

"BJP is doing politics of misleading the tribal and their (BJP) thinking is to exploit the tribal. For example, why did they (BJP) take 18 years to implement the PESA Act? Scam was also done in the implementation of PESA Act, every scheme for BJP becomes a medium of scam," Nath said.
The Enforcement Directorate has raided 15 locations in Mumbai in connection with the alleged BMC(Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) Covid centre scam case and seized cash and documents of properties worth crores, said ED sources
A vacation bench of Justices Surya Kant and MM Sundresh declined any relief today and posted the matter for hearing on July 5 before a regular bench hearing matters arising out of the case.
