The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came down heavily on the BJP-led Delhi government over unprecedented air pollution levels in Delhi this May, stating that the capital has never seen such toxic air during this time of year under Arvind Kejriwal's government.
As the Air Quality Index (AQI) Delhi climbed above 300 mark at several parts of Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal called out Bharaiya Janta Party saying that air pollution was never his bad during AAP regime at this time of year.
Delhi currently basking in sunny weather with a temperature of 32°C, is facing a severe air quality crisis. The Air Quality Index (AQI) has skyrocketed to a hazardous 500, significantly worse than yesterday's reading around the same time.
Speaking to ANI, Saurabh Bharadwaj said, "Our armed forces risked their lives to defeat the enemy, and Pakistan was scared and worried. This was the time to reclaim the Pak-occupied Kashmir. By agreeing to a ceasefire, you have betrayed the country."
The candle marches were attended by AAP MLAs, MLA candidates, councillors, Assembly presidents, and a large number of citizens who responded to the party's call to honour the deceased and reaffirm their commitment to the unity and integrity of India.
Speaking to ANI, Bharadwaj said "Whenever opposition parties have targeted the BJP on a genuine issue, some leaders of the Congress party through their statements allow the BJP to deviate from the issue...They have always helped the BJP and this affects the opposition unity."
AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bharadwaj on Sunday visited the Jhuggi in Sector 17 of Rohini, where a fire broke out, and criticised Delhi Chief Minister and Social Welfare Minister for not visiting the site.
Lambasting the BJP's "four-engine" government in Delhi, AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj pointed out that the BJP government is orchestrating a "criminal conspiracy" to deceive the people of Delhi on the grave issue of pollution.
Earlier today, Aam Aadmi Party's Delhi convenor, Saurabh Bharadwaj, stated that his party will not field a candidate in the Mayor's elections this time.
