He stressed that the "era of appeasement (tushtikaran)" has been replaced by a focus on universal satisfaction (santushtikaran)" as the people now only want development.
Congress leader Pawan Khera on Wednesday morning lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the latter's accusation of "appeasement politics" against Congress, saying that his party always engaged in "santushtikaran" for every section of the society.
"We do not do politics of appeasement, something which was done by governments so far who are now in the Opposition. We do 'santushtikaran'. This implies that we provide houses, toilets, and tap water to everyone. He said that we are preparing a foundation for 2047 which is 25 years away.
"When we talk of santushtikaran (satisfation), it means the saturation of all government schemes, fulfilling last-mile delivery of governance. When we follow the principle of saturation, it leads to true social justice," PM Modi said.
