"We don't do politics of appeasement": BJP MP Jagdambika Pal

"We do not do politics of appeasement, something which was done by governments so far who are now in the Opposition. We do 'santushtikaran'. This implies that we provide houses, toilets, and tap water to everyone. He said that we are preparing a foundation for 2047 which is 25 years away. In these 25 years, we want to make our country Viksit Bharat," Pal told ANI.

New Delhi [India], February 4 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Jagdambika Pal on Tuesday didn't indulge in politics of appeasement as previous governments have done so far. He reiterated the words of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that they not only have faith in the constitution but also live it.
He said the Modi government ensures that there is a saturation of government schemes, where everyone benefits in getting houses, toilets, and tap water to everyone.
Citing PM Modi's speech, Pal further said that countries are not built on dynasty (politics) and one needs to dedicate themselves towards nation-building.
"PM Modi said, 'Hum Samvidhan main sirf mante hi nahi, hum Samvidhan ko jeeten hai (We not only have faith in the constitution, but we also live it). He also said that countries do not build on dynasties, one needs to dedicate themselves towards nation-building...This was not only a detailed report on the government but also the foundation of Viksit Bharat," Pal said.
Meanwhile, BJP MP SP Singh Baghel said, "In his speech today, we saw a roadmap of how the country should become Viksit Bharat and a superpower when the country celebrates 100 years of independence."
Reacting to PM Modi's veiled attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Baghel said that there was not a single allegation of corruption against the cabinet in 11 years of governance but several cabinet ministers of the Delhi government went to jail.
"There is not even one allegation of corruption on the cabinet in 11 years of governance. Someone who came to power by calling themselves honest and almost everyone else corrupt had their CM, Deputy CM and several other cabinet ministers in jail," Baghel told ANI.
Earlier in the day, Modi hit out at the opposition during his speech in the Lok Sabha saying that his governance has believed in the principle of "santushtikaran" and has ditched the practice of "tushtikaran" that has been followed and practised by the opposition parties when they were in power prior to 2014.
