Asserting that his government's focus is on the welfare of the poor and empowerment of every section of society, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that today for the first time in the country, Dalits, backwards and tribals are getting the respect they deserved.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday performed 'Bhoomi Poojan' at Sant Shiromani Gurudev Shri Ravidas Memorial Sthal in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district.
He added, “On February 8 this year, on the birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas, I had announced in Sagar that a grand temple and memorial of Sant Ravidas would be built there at a cost of Rs 102 crore, which would give the message of peace and harmony to society.”
CM Adityanath said that Sant Ravidas gave a very broad message of Karma to the society by coining the popular saying in Hindi 'Man Changa To Kathauti Mein Ganga'.
"Saint Shiromani Shri Guru Ravidas Ji taught the lesson of the true religion - of humanity, mutual brotherhood and equality to society. These values strengthened the foundation of our constitution," Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said in a tweet on Sunday.
As per an official statement released on Thursday, in the special meeting, the Chief Minister gathered information one by one from the MPs and MLAs of Sultanpur, Barabanki, Amethi, Ambedkar Nagar, Mirzapur, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Sonbhadra, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Auraiya, Etawah, Farrukhab
