Reacting to Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut's reported statement hinting the party may contest Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections on its own," Maharashtra NCP (SCP) leader Jayant Patil on Saturday said that he will ask him why he made such a decision.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Saturday expressed concern over the delay in the allocation of portfolios in the Maharashtra Cabinet and questioned the Mahayuti government regarding the reason for the delay despite having an adequate majority.
This comes amid protests by opposition parties and leaders demanding Amit Shah's resignation over his remarks in Rajya Sabha. He had said that it had become a "fashion" for Congress to take Ambedkar's name.

He said that during the first cabinet meeting, they should announce the construction of an EVM temple in front of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Nagpur.
