The Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday approached Kolkata High Court for permission to conduct a polygraph test on RG Kar Medical College and Hospital's ex-principal, Dr Sandip Ghosh, and four doctors after finding discrepancies in their statements during the investigation.
Former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Sandip Ghosh, reached the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office in Kolkata on Thursday morning regarding the ongoing probe into the alleged rape and murder case of a trainee doctor.
Akhtar Ali told ANI that Sandip Ghosh is allegedly involved in scams like biomedical waste, illegally handling dead bodies, failing students and demanding bribes, awarding unnecessary tenders and operating illegal stall kiosks.
A member of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team investigating the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital rape-murder case, arrived at the College on Wednesday and thoroughly checked the car of the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Sandip Ghosh.
"Those who are saying that I'm arrested by CBI kindly don't spread fake rumours. I didn't have face-to-face interrogation with the accused Sanjay Roy," Ghosh said after arriving at the CBI office.
