Gupta, one of the four owners of the 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub, was arrested from Delhi by the Goa Police and, following a 36-hour transit remand by Delhi's Saket Court on Wednesday, was brought to Goa to face legal proceedings in the ongoing investigation.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Vinod Joshi granted a 36-hour transit remand of Ajay Gupta and directed him to be produced before the concerned court at Goa.
Ajay Gupta, the arrested accused in the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub fire incident, which claimed 25 lives, has been taken to the Saket district court in New Delhi for remand proceedings on Wednesday. He was detained by the Goa Police on Tuesday.
