Rajasthan Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Tuesday will observe a day-long fast calling for 'action on corruption' during the previous Vasundhara Raje-led government.
The Congress has taken a serious view of party leader Sachin Pilot's proposed daylong fast over his demand for "action on corruption" during the BJP government's rule, saying it is against party interests and an "anti-party activity".
Months before elections in Rajasthan, the rebellion that was simmering between leader Sachin Pilot and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot once again came to the fore with the former announcing a day-long fast against corruption on Tuesday.
"Attempts were made to suppress the incident of rape of Dalit women in Balotra, but the incident came out only through media. The police also didn't provide any help to the victim's family," Rajyavardhan Rathore said.
Talking to reporters here on Sunday, Baghel said, "Ashok Gehlot is a very sorted leader, so many such hurdles have come in the past as well and I feel that he will sort this out".
Jairam Ramesh's remarks came hours after Sachin Pilot reiterated his demand to investigate the alleged corruption cases in Rajasthan that happened under the BJP tenure.
