State BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar lashed out at the Pinarayi Vijayan-led Kerala government, accusing it of corruption over the alleged Sabarimala gold plating scam.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) from Kerala arrived in Chennai on Monday to intensify its probe into alleged irregularities in the gold-plating restoration of the Dwarapalaka (guardian deity) idols at the Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple, focusing on Chennai-based firm Smart Creations.
"The CPM Chief Minister of Kerala Pinrayi Vijayan goes to Delhi and has the gall, temerity, shamelessness to refer to this four-and-half kg gold heist and call it a slip-up," Chandrashekar said.
Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the BJP, took out a march against the Pinarayi Vijayan-led government in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram on Monday over the alleged theft of gold from the Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple.
