External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday held a telephonic conversation with Papua New Guinea counterpart Justin Tkachenko and discussed broadening the agenda of ties between the two nations.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday slammed Congress for politicizing the issue of Indians stranded in Sudan amid violence between its military and paramilitary force.
Manturov said, "Relations between Russia and India continue progressively developing in all directions. In 2022, despite negative external factors, positive dynamics in the Russian-Indian trade prevailed."
Nirmala Sitharaman and Denis Manturov exchanged views on strengthening economic and financial cooperation in areas of mutual interest to promote bilateral investment and trade.
This is the second meeting of EAM Jaishankar with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, during the course of his Indian visit. On Monday, Jaishankar and Manturov met representatives of Russian and Indian businesses at the India-Russia Business Dialogue in New Delhi.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday said that India and Russia have crossed bilateral trade target of USD 30 billion before 2025 adding that it is expected that the trade will continue to increase.

Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president K Sudhakaran on Sunday wrote to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and sought his intervention to repatriate the mortal remains of an Indian national in Sudan who had died after being hit by a stray bullet.
"In Prime Minister Modi, we look at him as a friend. He visited Uganda in 2018 and after his visit, things have never been the same, relations became activated and the level of friendship increased," Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda told ANI.
