External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar came back to Delhi after his two-visit to Russia where he met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov
Jaishankar reached Moscow on Monday as a part of his two-day visit to Russia, in continuation of the regular high-level dialogue between the two sides. During his meeting with Lavrov today, he reviewed the entire gamut of the India-Russia relationship.
The talks between Manturov and Jaishankar were held in the format of a meeting of the co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Russian-Indian Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation.

Addressing a press briefing alongside the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Jaishnkar said he exchanged views on international issues with the Russian side, in which the Ukraine conflict was the dominant feature.
Delivering a joint press conference alongside Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, he said the world must not forget what the situation is in Afghanistan and pointed out how India is supporting Afghan people in a difficult phase of their history.
India has remained committed to placing the needs of its citizens above any type of allegiance to a specific nation or group, even in the face of mounting global pressure to choose sides.
Jaishankar will begin his two-day Russia visit on Monday to hold talks with the country's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in continuation of the regular high-level dialogue between the two sides.
In September, Russia held a referendum in Kherson which was severely criticized by Ukraine and a host of other countries. Along with the neighboring regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia, it was incorporated into Russia by law on October 5.
Talks between the two sides are expected to cover the entire range of bilateral issues and exchange views on various regional and international developments.
