Pakistan's plans to import more crude oil from Russia have hit a critical roadblock as neither country has made any moves for the purpose nor have the local refineries shown any interest, reported The News International.
Russia's supplies by sea grew by 0.6 million barrels per day to 8.1 mn barrels per day, the agency said, adding that deliveries of petroleum products rose by 450,000 barrels per day month-on-month to 3.1 million barrels per day.
Pakistan on the one hand is finalising deals with Russia to buy oil despite sanctions. While also supplying arms to Ukraine, ultimately causing casualties in Russia.
"As for our reaction, I've already said that we simply will not sell to those countries that make such decisions. We will think, maybe even, I'm not saying that this is a (made) decision - but we will think, if necessary, about a possible reduction in production," Putin said to reporters.
According to TASS Russian News Agency, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, "We are assessing the situation. Certain preparations for such a cap were made. We won't accept the price cap and we will inform you how the work will be organized once the assessment is over."
