Congress leader Supriya Shrinate on Sunday strongly criticised the newly VB-G RAM-G Bill, 2025, which replaces the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 (MGNREGA), alleging that it removes Mahatma Gandhi's name and scraps the guarantee of employment.
"They hate Mahatma Gandhi's name, and they hate the laws enacted during the Congress regime. I don't understand why they rushed this through," Ramesh said, adding that the law was enacted without consultations with state governments.
Speaking to ANI, Jaiswal said, "For the first time, all workers are getting the opportunity for 125 days of employment instead of 100. Secondly, the Livelihood Mission has been integrated into the scheme. This will create employment opportunities in many new areas," he said.
