Pakistan's National Assembly passed a resolution for a proper investigation into the death of Religious Affairs minister Mufti Abdul Shakoor in an accident in Islamabad on Saturday, reported Dawn.
The Delhi High has recently enhanced the amount of compensation to more than Rs One crore to a woman suffering from disability after a road accident in the year 2007.
"A heavy collision between a truck and a car happened near Vishnoda on NH11B of Sadar Thana area. Four devotees died and four others were seriously injured," the police official said.
As many as six policemen were killed after a car and a truck collided with each other on the Quetta-Karachi national highway in the Wadh area, reported Dawn.
As per the local police, the minister (55) was heading towards Secretariat Chowk on Saturday evening on Constitution Avenue road when his vehicle was hit by a Hilux vehicle with five passengers on board.
Shravasti Superintendent of Police, Prachi Singh, said that during the time of the incident there were 14 people in the car and six of them died on the spot. Eight of the injured have been referred to Bahraich District Hospital, she said.
The mishap took place on the Indore-Ahmedabad National Highway under the Sardarpur police station limits in the district on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.
