According to West Agra Deputy Commissioner of Police Somendra Meena, "The incident took place late Sunday night after one of the bus tyres burst at the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. There were 43 passengers onboard the bus."
At least two people have been killed in a road accident on the Balkh-Jawzjan highway in Afghanistan. One person, as a result of the accident, has also sustained injuries, reported Khaama Press.
In a harrowing incident near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus station in Mumbai, a speeding car collided with four pedestrians, resulting in severe injuries.
According to the police, 61 people, including two drivers and 59 tourists were travelling in the bus when the accident took place on Saturday allegedly due to the carelessness of the driver.
A pilgrim died while several others were injured after a tourist bus collided with a vehicle in Bihar's Kaimur district on Friday morning, said an official.
According to police, the incident took place on the Chanderkot-Rajgarh link road. The victims were coming from Chanderkot and going to Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh.
A vaccination campaign against polio was launched across 24 provinces of Afghanistan on Monday, Khaama Press reported, adding that the disease remains a public health concern for the country.
The accident occurred under Birsinghpur Pali police station limits in the district at around 12:30 am on Monday. There were five persons travelling in the car and three persons died on the spot and two died while undergoing treatment.
"The body of the deceased was found on the road opposite ITI, Nand Nagri. It is a case of hit and run. No public witness was found at the spot," said police.
