Incessant rainfall and swelling rivers have caused devastation in Punjab, leaving several villages submerged and thousands of people struggling for essential supplies.
Pakistan's Punjab province is bracing for severe flooding, with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) issuing a flood alert for the Sutlej and Chenab rivers, as well as hill torrents.
Speaking to ANI, Rajinder Singh, an NDRF official, said, "NDRF and the administration have made very good arrangements... Four teams have been deployed here, and we have rescued almost 1180 people."

The District Magistrate said that the path of the Yamuna River was partially blocked due to debris in the Gadgad Gadera area of Syanachatti in Barkot tehsil. Following this, the temporary lake formed here caused waterlogging in the surrounding area.
Parts of the NCR (National Capital Region) remain flooded as the Yamuna's rising water levels, following heavy rainfall, submerge roads, farms, and low-lying areas in Noida and Delhi.
