Around 2,000 people have been killed in protests against Iran's regime, The Times of Israel reported, citing Reuters, quoting an Iranian official who blamed "terrorists" for the deaths of civilians and security personnel.

As protests have rolled on to another week, Pahlavi has emerged as a vocal supporter of the demonstrators, backing what he describes as a nationwide movement against the Islamic Republic.
Iranians have been protesting since the 28th of December, 2025. Initially the masses were protesting worsening economic conditions but now the protests are directly targeting the Khamenei regime, whose been in power since 1979.
In a recent post on X, the crown prince praised protesters for what he called "million-strong demonstrations" that have shaken the foundations of the Iranian regime.
Pahlavi asserted that the Iranian people would emerge as US' key partner for peace and prosperity following what he described as the fall of the current regime.
Pahlavi, in a video message posted on X, said that the protesters are being lauded for their courage by everyone in the world, especially US President Donald Trump.
American politician Marco Rubio has come out in support of the Iranian protestors. In a post on X, Rubio said, "The United States supports the brave people of Iran."
Pahlavi voiced support for protesters across the country, praising continued demonstrations against Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the ruling establishment.
Lending support to the protestors is the Iranian Crown Prince in exile Reza Pahlavi, who called for people to work together to deal the final blow to the regime.
Donald Trump on Thursday (local time) warned Iran's government against harming protesters, stating that the United States would intervene if innocent people were killed amid the ongoing demonstrations in the Middle Eastern country.
