Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami convened a review meeting via video conferencing today from the Chief Minister's residence in response to the recent political developments occurring in the neighbouring country of Nepal.
J-K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said Union Home Minister Amit Shah had already visited Jammu and Kashmir to assess flood damage and chaired a review meeting. He added it would be "very good" if Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited.
CM Yadav said that immediate relief should be initiated in the areas where crops have been damaged due to excessive rainfall and floods. In cases of human or livestock loss, relief must be provided within 24 hours.
