Reacting to the Karnataka election results, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday said that the results herald a positive future for the country and the people gave a befitting reply to the BJP.
BJP managed to win 66 seats. Janata Dal-Secular (JDS) bagged 19 seats. Independents have won two seats while Kalyana Rajya Pragathi Paksha and Sarvodaya Karnataka Paksha won one seat each.
The Congress party created history by registering the biggest vote share in the state by any party in the Karnataka assembly polls in the last 34 years.
"On May 12 at 9:30 PM, one person reported a missing complaint of his daughter at the Aman Vihar Police station in which he informed that her daughter Age 18 yrs has been missing from his home since 3:30 PM. He further added that she has got compartment in two subjects in the 12th Board exam
A day after the results of the Karnataka polls, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Sunday urged the opposition to unite stating that if the opposition does not unite now then the people of the country will not forgive them.
According to the Election Commission of India, Congress won 135 seats pushing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) out of power in the only southern state it ruled and boosting its own prospects for the electoral battles ahead.
"In his mind, a double engine means he himself sitting in Delhi, and his remote-control sitting in Bengaluru, Bhopal or anywhere else. This is not double engine. Double engine means one engine economic development and the other engine social harmony," Jairam Ramesh said.

Outgoing Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Sunday that BJP'S defeat in the Karnataka assembly election is not a defeat of Prime Minister Modi adding that "Congress leadership has lost in the entire country".
Nikhil lost to Congress candidate HA Iqbal Hussain by 10,715 votes while the BJP candidate Gautham Gowda secured 12,912 votes, as per the Election Commission of India.
