On August 11, KN Rajanna resigned from the Siddaramaiah cabinet after his allegations on the Karnataka government's inaction following Rahul Gandhi's "vote theft" allegations on Election Commission of India and BJP.
Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra on Tuesday slammed Rahul Gandhi, saying he does not have the patience to hear the facts following KN Rajanna's resignation amid controversy over his remarks on voter list irregularities.
Former Karnataka Cooperation Minister KN Rajanna called his removal from the cabinet part of a "big conspiracy" and said his remarks on voter fraud were misunderstood. He confirmed the decision came from the Congress high command and assured loyalty to the party and Rahul Gandhi.
Meanwhile, Karnataka's Large and Medium Industries Minister MB Patil claimed he was unaware of the reasons behind Cooperation Minister KN Rajanna's resignation.
Rajanna stepped down on Monday amid controversy over his remarks on voter list irregularities, which contradicted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's allegations against the Election Commission of India (ECI).
In a post on X, Karandlaje claimed that the Congress was "scared of the truth" and was hiding behind "false allegations" to silence dissent within its ranks.
In recent remarks Rajanna had asked why Congress leaders "turned a blind eye" to irregularities in voter lists and kept silent when they should have raised objections.
Senior Congress leader Anand Sharma was part of an all-party delegation that visited multiple countries as part of India's big diplomatic outreach Operation Sindoor.
Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal said on Saturday that the whereabouts of former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar have not been known since his resignation and demanded that Union Home Minister Amit Shah issue a statement on the matter.
