Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLC K Kavitha on Monday criticised Telangana government's efforts regarding the rescue operations in the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel collapse.
The Indian Army concluded the search and rescue operations at the Mana area of the Chamoli district in Uttarakhand on Sunday. These operations were part of the relief efforts to rescue the trapped Border Roads Organisation (BRO) workers after the avalanche on February 28.
NDRF Commandant V.V.N. Prasanna Kumar said on Monday that rescue operations at the SLBC tunnel collapse site are underway at full capacity, with around twelve agencies working around the clock to locate the trapped victims.
Brigadier MS Dhillon, Commander IBEX Brigade, said that eight people died after a Border Road Organisation (BRO) camp in Mana was struck by an avalanche.

The rescue operation to save eight workers trapped inside the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel in Nagarkurnool entered its ninth day on Sunday, as teams continue efforts to reach those stranded since the tunnel collapse on February 22.
"All 54 persons have now been rescued or recovered. This marks the culmination of the Mana Village Rescue Operation," said Lt Col Manish Shrivastava, PRO (Defence), Dehradun.

Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman on Sunday said that the ongoing rescue operation has made significant progress as weather conditions remained favorable.
He confirmed that four individuals have tragically lost their lives due to critical injuries, while 46 others are stable following a recent incident. One of the injured has been referred to AIIMS in Rishikesh for further treatment.
