Army columns equipped with Engineer Stores are assisting NDRF, SDRF, IN, Coast Guard in rescue operation and assisting civil administration and police in crowd management and security.
More than 100 deaths have been reported till early morning in Morbi hanging bridge accident case. Around 177 people have been rescued after the disaster. Around 19 people are under treatment, as per Gujarat Information Department.

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has dispatched five teams on Sunday for a rescue operation after more than 60 people died in a cable bridge collapse in Gujarat's Morbi city.
The National Disaster Response Force has already reached the spot and rescue operations are underway after the unfortunate incident which claimed the lives of over 60 persons.
"Deeply saddened by the tragedy that has struck us with the collapse of the suspension bridge in Morbi, Gujarat. I appeal to the @INCGujarat workers to extend every possible assistance in rescue work & helping the wounded. My condolences & prayers are with the bereaved families,"
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the next of kin of each of those who lost their lives after a cable bridge collapsed in Gujarat's Morbi with several feared dead.
"The rescue operation has been completed. A total of four bodies and six injured were rescued," said Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, Devansh Yadav.
Special Operation Medal is conferred for special operations in the areas such as terrorism, border action, arms control, prevention of narcotics smuggling and rescue operations.
These rescued fishermen were clinging to floating debris after their fishing boat sank. They are planned to be handed over to the Bangladesh Coast Guard in accordance with MoU existing between the two Coast Guards.
