Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan on Wednesday moved the Supreme Court, requesting the formation of a judicial commission to "inquire, audit and examine" the manner and process of the February 8 general elections held in the country, Geo News reported.
According to Reserve bank of India, this decision comes with the objective of ensuring that all government transactions related to receipts and payments for the fiscal year 2023-24 are accounted for within the stipulated timeframe.
"Congress manifesto points were discussed. We also requested that the Congress government, which will come to power in Uttarakhand in the coming times, will keep a focus on ways to face any natural disasters in the central Himalayan areas," Rawat said while speaking to ANI.
The judicial magistrate, Shaista Kundi, announced the verdict reserved earlier in the day. The court, however, rejected the request to produce the PTI founder in court.
