President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday approved 412 Gallantry awards and other Defence decorations to Armed Forces personnel and others on the eve of the 74th Republic Day.
In a televised address on the eve of the 74th Republic Day celebrations, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday called on citizens to boycott China and the government to stop all trade ties with the eastern neighbour.
Lalit Mohan Negi, ACP Inspector Pradeep Kumar, SI Sunder Gautam, SI Shamsher Singh, SI Raghuveer Singh, ASI Manoj Bhati, ASI Shajad Khan, have been conferred Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG).
Necessary instructions have been given to the managing directors of distribution corporations to ensure an uninterrupted power supply to all areas of the state.
Extensive checking of vehicles and suspicious people has also been ordered by the DGP Punjab. All the inter-state and inter-district boundaries in the state have been sealed.
The President said that due to people's participation in 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign, women's representation has been rising in every sphere of activity
