The preparation for the Republic day celebration is going on in full swing and a full dress rehearsal was held at the Police Parade Ground in Raipur on Tuesday.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday and was accorded a warm welcome. He will be the chief guest at the 74th Republic Day parade.
Marching atop the camels, these women camel riders belonging to Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh will be donning specially designed regal ceremonial uniforms which represent the many treasured craft forms of India.
"We are very happy that we got a chance to participate in the Republic Day rehearsal parade. We are taught how to behave with seniors during our Training," Arif Ahmad Khan a Naval Cadet from Srinagar's Amar Singh College said while talking to ANI.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai on Monday said the 'Naarishakti' tableau, which will be featured in the Republic Day parade, has been prepared in just 8-10 days.
A military contingent of the Egyptian Army will march in India's Republic Day parade on January 26. The Egyptian military contingent will have 144 personnel participating in the parade.
With the Garud Special Forces of the Indian Air Force will be marching on the Kartavya Path during the parade for the first time, the country is all set to showcase Special Forces and made-in-India missile power on the occasion.
