Union Ministers on Thursday extended greetings on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day and paid tribute to the Constitution-makers and soldiers who dedicated their lives to the country's security.
President Droupadi Murmu will lead the Republic Day celebrations that will begin from the Kartavya Path. India's 74th Republic Day celebrations would be Murmu's first after assuming charge as the President of the country last year.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, while addressing the NCC cadets and NSS volunteers, said that the youth are being imparted special training with the help of the army, navy and airforce which will make them future-ready.
In a televised address on the eve of the 74th Republic Day celebrations, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday called on citizens to boycott China and the government to stop all trade ties with the eastern neighbour.
Extensive checking of vehicles and suspicious people has also been ordered by the DGP Punjab. All the inter-state and inter-district boundaries in the state have been sealed.
The Prime Minister said the youth represent the country's aspirations and dreams and the biggest responsibility of making India a developed country rests on their shoulders
"The event will be inaugurated on 26th January at 5:30 pm and will be open to the general public from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm and from 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm from 27th onwards to 31st January. The event is expected to attract a large number of visitors on all days," the statement added.
The VCK statement said, "Governor activities often are against the constitution. We condemned this and have decided to boycott high tea in Raj Bhavan on the occasion of Republic day celebrations."
