Talking to the reporters, Rane said, "Sanjay Raut has gone mad, our government will remain in power till 2024 election and Eknath Shinde will remain the Chief Minister of Maharashtra."
The mouthpiece of Shiv Sena (UBT) 'Saamana' on Sunday claimed that the Eknath Shinde along with 16 MLAs who were part of the split in Shiv Sena almost a year ago are going to be "disqualified" as per the Constitution.
In June 2022, a group of Shiv Sena MLAs led by Eknath Shinde rebelled against Uddhav Thackeray - saying that the latter's decision to align with the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party went against the party's Hindutva ideology.
"We already knew that this was going to happen. Eknath Shinde and the 16 MLAs that went with him will be disqualified. Maharashtra will get another CM in a few days," Sanjay Raut said while addressing the reporters in Mumbai on the political developments in the state.
