Senior Congress leader Rashid Alvi sharply reacted to former Union Home Minister P Chidambaram's recent disclosure regarding the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, questioning the timing and intent behind his remarks.
Alvi said, "We have full trust in our armed forces. We are proud of them. If our IAF chief is saying all these things, then the entire nation trusts him. But even the IAF chief has not clarified whether our fighter jets were shot down, whether our Rafales were shot down."
Speaking to ANI, Alvi targeted the then-BJP-led government, claiming that the Indian intelligence agencies were unaware of Pakistan's intrusion in Kargil, and it was a local shepherd who brought it to the government's notice.

"If there is any such scam, then action must be taken against them. However, we cannot trust the governments of Gujarat and India. There is a possibility that he is being pressured to join BJP. The court will decide what is right and wrong," Alvi told ANI here.
"I have to say with regret that you brought the law of triple talaq against the Muslims. Brought the law of Waqf against Muslims, You are doing everything in this country which is against Muslims," Congress leader Rashid Alvi told ANI.
