The incident pertains to the alleged gang rape and murder of a minor girl whose body parts were found in a coal furnace in Kotdi in Rajasthan's Bhilwara.
The case has been registered under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at the Trombay police station.

According to police, the girl had gone to graze her family's cattle on Wednesday. When she did not return home till evening, her family started searching in the area and later approached the police and lodged a complaint.
The incident has been reported under Kishanganj police station limits in the district and the police registered a case into the matter following the complaint of the victim on Wednesday.
