The Delhi High Court on Friday directed the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) to provide separate accommodation to the Unnao rape victim considering her marriage and birth of a baby girl.
The ADSJ Dr Chander Hass has imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 and ordered the accused to face one and half years extra simple jail in case he fails to deposit the amount.
On July 28, a 5-year-old girl was kidnapped from her home at around 3 pm and raped in Aluva municipality, which comes under Ernakulam district in Kerala. Later, she was murdered and was dumped in a marshy area near Aluva market, police said.
Taking suo motu cognizance of the Dausa rape case, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on Saturday wrote a letter to Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP) demanding an action taken report and other information within three days.
"This is a shameful incident. Such incidents have been continuously happening in Rajasthan for the last five years. The Gehlot government is silent on this and doesn't ensure justice," said Diya Kumari.
"After hearing both sides, the reports submitted by various agencies will be considered by the court and on November 14, the judgement will be pronounced," Mohanraj said.
Delhi's Tis Hazari court on Wednesday took cognizance of the charge sheet filed against the Delhi government's former Deputy director Premoday Khakha and his wife. They have been in custody for the alleged rape of a minor.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dumka Vijay Kumar told ANI that three accused have been identified and a special team has been formed to nab the accused.
In the same case, in the case of criminal intimidation (Section 506), two years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 have been imposed and both sentences will run concurrently.
As per the police spokesperson of Jind district, the victim's family members approached Narwana city police on December 5, 2021, alleging that the accused identified as Abhishek, a native of Narwana town had entered their house and raped the minor girl.
The incident occurred in Jharda village under the jurisdiction of Jharda police station in the district on Tuesday. As soon as the police received the information about the matter, they swung into action and arrested the accused, who lives in the same village, within 12 hours of the incident
