Referring to Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri's recent meeting with Acting Afghan Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal noted that this was the "highest level of engagement" between the two nations.
MEA said that India is very firm that terrorism in whatever way it exists, wherever it exists, it needs to be fought tooth and nail and New Delhi has clearly called out nations who promote cross-border terrorism.
"The Quad Foreign Ministers Meeting is expected to be in Washington, DC for the inaugural ceremony of President Trump...We will share the further details," MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in the weekly press briefing today.
