Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Wednesday termed the decision of former UP Congress president Nirmal Khatri to participate in Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha as Ram devotees in the Congress party not listening to its leadership.
A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Allahabad High Court seeking a ban on the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of Shri Ram Lalla at Ayodhya's Ram Temple to be held on January 22.
Advocate Upadhyay, in his letter, said that Lord Shri Ram lives in the breath and veins of every Indian across the globe in general and Hindus in particular; therefore, to respect the sentiments of the people of the country, it is desirable to declare January 22 a national holiday.
